I live with my mom and brother but I love being alone in my bedroom and I tend to get irritated if we get company or I have to spend time around people (family included).

    That was the situation I was experiencing until I moved away from home. I now find that I have too much time alone and feeling extremely isolated.

    You don't truly experience being alone until you live by yourself. I used to think being by myself in my bedroom was what being alone was. I could not be anymore wrong.

    I don't think you can truly experience being alone until you are a thousand miles from the nearest human, on a boat, at sea.
    No lights, smog, smell or noise from human habitation, and the water is 5 miles deep.
    A minimum of at least 7 days from another person at top speed.
    Alone on the planet.
