Is it normal to absolutely hate children

I think it's not the kids you hate, but all the stupid fussing over kids...
This irks me too - it's like when there's a kid in the room no one is capable of having a normal adult conversation. Everyone focuses on what the kid is doing, whether it's screaming it's head off or doing some cutesy thing...
Am I right about this?

Well, normal = average and i don't think the average population hates kids but i wouldn't say hating kids is abnormal as such. There's no law that says you have to love them. Let's face it, most kids nowadays are not that loveable anyway.

I absolutely fucking despise children. But what I despise more than children, is their idiot parents and other such morons who fawn over these obnoxious little shits. The sound of a screaming infant is irritating enough without the collective "Awwwwwwwww poor baby!"s

Poor baby?! Poor ME! That little idiot is crying because it's too useless to go to the toilet and it shit itself. I'm the one who has to sit here and hear "WEHHHHHHH! WEHHHHHHHHH! WEHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" for the next half hour. It's like, it's crying because it doesn't like to marinade in it's own feces, but then when you try to clean it off and give it a new diaper, it screams even louder! God, make up your mind, you worthless brat...

I hate kids too. They are just so annoying. Screaming all the time, running around, taking other people's stuff...

children under the age of 13 should NOT be allowed on plains, trains or any form of transport where they can kick seats, make noise, peer annoyingly over seats etc

I don't mind the well-behaved ones. Still not a huge fan of kids of any nature, but I can tolerate the nice ones. It's the screaming brats who I can't stand. I think the problem lies in the fact that it's becoming increasingly difficult to discipline nowadays (at least in the US). One can't raise their voice to their kid without CPS being called...

I cannot stand the little brats! I just don't understand why a group of 15 kids all coming from different houses WITH A YARD feel the need to play on MY yard. And they have the nerve to harrass my dog and then cry cause he got off the leash and chased their asses down. I want to stab them with a fucking cattle prod.

Kids suck, basically. They are little annoying people who are constantly demanding attention, whining for this or that thing, pouting when they don't get it, keeping you up all night, making messes everywhere, etc, etc. Sure they can be fun and entertaining but I can think of a MILLION other things that are fun and entertaining that don't involve children and putting up with their shit.

I hate kids,I really do.I have a brat who lives above me who pounds the s**t out of the floor all day and night including 4 am.I work for a living and sleep max. 3-4 hours a night since I moved in here because of this stupid brat.I complained and got told "too bad,so sad,kids can make as much noise as they want whenever they want".So can I round around and jump on my floor all day,nope,not unless I want the cops called on my ass or a nasty note from the landlord.No wonder kids today are such spoiled,selfish little pieces of crap.

ugh. children. they always want you to DO shit with them. 'come watch power rangers!' 'come swimming' 'read to me' and when you say no its like please please please please until you have to give in. never am i ever going to have kids. i hated kids when i was a kid. But the real kicker? KIDS F#$%ing LOVE me. i get asked all the freakin time to babysit. they follow me around, and practically flock to me out of nowhere. go freakin figure.

Terrible 2s is nothing compared to 3s. When they can start talking and putting snotty little sentences together is usually when I want to smack em.

Ill mannnered kids,. I hate them with a deep passion, I hate parents who do nothing, this mother came in today, where I work with her 3 boys, 2 of them kept giving me nasty looks ans a couple times they stared me down, and the mother was giving me weird looks too, its not my fault I was born with a gentic disorder, I hate being judged on looks, I hope her kids have children of their own when their married, and their kids are born diffrent. and some snot nosed punks makes fun of them.

it depends on how much you hate them i sometimes hate children jus cus they piss me off but if you hate them to the point you thinking about going and killing them then ur just fucked up so i guess its normal unless u want to hurt them or kill them

Actually I like little kids what I usually hate is teenagers. The fucking little monsters. I would not hurt a child I would find it harder controlling my temper with a belligerent teenager.

i've found that i do hate certain kids. i mean really HATE. I just want to smack some kids. it goes beyond irritation. when a kid is extremely annoying or STUPID. and yes, there is such a thing as a stupid kid. all kids have a certain expected level of understanding for their age, i get that. I even like MOST kids! but when one bugs the crap out of me.... UGH

I defenetley don't think its normal but at the same time I imagine there are some people out there with the same problems as you. Not many...lol but some. Most people love kids, I mean some kids are misbehaved because they were'nt raised right but thats just it, its not their fault, its also not their fault they are what you hate, a kid. Others are just angels. Like some one else said, I think maybe you have a touch of social anxiety and just don't know what to do or how to act around children, that's ok, just try to be nice to children when your around them or else you might end up going to jail.
