Is it normal, tired of people who expect to get entertained?

Short rant:

It really bothers me when people look to me as a source of entertainment. They get bored then call me or come over to ease their boredom. Like one guy texts and calls constantly whenever his cable gets cut off. Otherwise I hear from him once a week or less. Ok so you're bored but it's not my job to fix it! Annoying.
