Is it normal tht my mom cusses out her family?

whenever she gets mad at some1 she has to cuss them out. doesnt matter if its a kid or an adult if their in the family she will cuss em out. But if its a stranger and she gets mad she will jus take it out on us. she always tells everyone else their bi-polar and shes 1 of the biggest hypocrites ever. She will stand in the way at a grocery store for ever but the second some1 does it to her she is ready to explode. Is it normal?

    It's not normal behaviour but common amongst ignorant people with no manners who seek attention - my mom's the same.

    She's a bully at home but hates people to find out what she's really like coz she's a hypocrite too. However, I asked her why she likes to offend the people who care about her while she's nice to those who wouldn't care if she was dead. She was too stunned to reply but it mellowed her for about a week.

    Strange behaviour for a grown-up!!

    Mmm. Maybe, a mood disorder? It's not good that she bullies you, but the emotional explosions she has aren't normal either. Perhaps, the family can do a "intervention" of sorts and make her seek some form of treatment? Good Luck!

      thanks but she would never. my dad left her bcuz of it and in 2 more years im out as well (ill b 18)

      She's a coward in the real world.

      Don't give up Rob10321 - you'll be out of there soon.

      At one point I thought about phoning her doctor to advise him of the situation and see if he would put her on antidepressants - she wouldn't eat them anyway, but I know they would've been of great benefit to her.

      Once you get out you can escape and not go back.
