Everyone's got their idea of heaven. Only reason I'd ever want to go and be there is to see my loved ones again. I could do without the rest. Try not be so patronizing from time to time you might learn something.
What's patronizing about vehemently expressing an intense distaste for any afterlife? Spending any time at all pondering an afterlife seems such a waste of this life.
I may not be tactful, but it's probably because I so passionately want to let people see that it's OK to enjoy THIS life. It's heartbreaking to see so many people not living THIS life to the fullest because that enjoyment may keep them from an afterlife that is not guarantied.
I also passionately want to let people know that it's OK to enjoy THIS life and investigate the POSSIBILITY of an afterlife!
I don't see how having a belief in an afterlife – or deeply investigating whether such an idea is TRUE or FALSE – can exclude a person from enjoying ALL that this life has to offer. I certainly try to!
They are not mutually exclusive ideas.
If someone offered you the possibility of having endless beautiful days, months and years together in supreme health with your wife, sailing the oceans and exploring new lands wouldn't you be interested?
An afterlife could be the BIGGEST adventure of all.
IIN this is why I'm religious???

well you said something about "white bead existence forever" whatever that means.
I assumed it was your idea of heaven, like the old stereotype of sitting on a cloud and strumming a harp

I agree. But it's not that, it's your opinion of others for believing such a thing. You put words in other peoples mouths.
