Is it normal they keep trying to sell chocolate as a spread?

People keep trying to sell chocolate as a spread. Its CHOCOLATE! I also hate how they try to pretend "Oh its healthy!" Yes, I fail to see how spreadable chocolate is super healthy for me. It use to just be nutella but now all peanut butter companies are starting to make chocolate spread.

It's the Jews, man. They keep coming up with new spreads so they can sell more bagels.

Chocolate wasn't born in a bar you know...though its first known use was a beer like beverage.

      Birth of a candy bar:

One Payday, Mr. Goodbar wanted a Bit-O-Honey, so he took Miss Hershey on the corner of 5th Avenue and Clark. He began to feel her Mounds and to him that was an Almond Joy, which made his Tootsie Roll! Then, he let out some Snickers and slipped his Butterfinger up her Kit-Kat, which of course caused a Milky-Way! She screamed "O-Henry!", and she squeezed his Peter Paul and said, "you're better than the 3 Musketeers!" She soon became a bit Chunky and 9 months later gave birth to Baby Ruth.

I like to think of spooning Reese and subsequently forking her.

  • Hehe this reminds me of a work story. A woman entered the store and said there was something wrong with her can of chocolate peanut butter, and she would like another one. I asked what was wrong with her jar, and she said, "Well, I was really excited to try it you know. So I unscrewed the lid, only to discover the safety seal was gone and there was a finger-swipe missing. Apparently someone else really wanted to try it too."

Fun times haha. And I am fine with chocolate spread. I find it delicious and am blessed with the ability to consume copious amounts of sugar and junk without gaining any weight. I agree though, it is weird to market those products as healthy. They should just provide extra emphasis on the delicious part.

Who ever said it was healthy? You'd have to be simple to not know that. Anyone can read the nutritional facts of the jar.

    • The stupid commercials! Says "Part of a nutritional breakfast" and states its a "Nutritious snack for your kids". Lies! Its a LIE!

Only dumbasses believe what's said in commercials. Another example is dairy commercials. Milk products aren't supposed to be consumed by humans, full stop, but they insist that it's a necessary component in a healthy, balanced diet.

        • Well all creatures need milk. However we decide to instead steal it from cows instead of human females.

Not true, we do not need milk beyond infancy.

            • We still need milk though. Some people do not breastfeed either.

Cow milk is for baby cows. As if it's not bad enough, they feed the cows all kinds of GMO crap filled with chemicals, then process the milk so much that it comes out in the end with no nutritional value and pumped full of hormones. The human body is not designed to process this liquid garbage.

            • We are not processed to eat a lot of things though and we still eat it. We are not meant to eat cookies and that sort of stuff either.

If you put it on wheat bread it's healthy...not the spread, but the wheat bread is. Chocolate makes children eat wheat bread, there you see?

Healthy spreads exist, but you'll have to find them at natural/organic stores.

Nutella makes my teeth hurt terribly. It is also not organic and I am not sure whether or not it is GMO-free. It is not nutritious. It is for these reasons that I refuse to eat it.

    • Yet the commercials will say they are. They say that kids should put nutella on toast for breakfast. I have eaten nutella its delicious but its just chocolate with hazelnuts. I think it would be better as a candy bar. Which has given me an interesting idea. Nutella actually makes me groggy.

Most commercials are misleading. Cereal companies like Post and General Mills, go on to talk about how nutrias their shit is yet, they fail to talk about their cancerous preservatives and the fact that they are using genetically modified crops, which are dangerous! The same goes with Mcshitnalds. Just because you have apples and milk, milk which is more than likely coming from cows which have been fed GM feed, pumped full of antibiotics and growth hormones, as well as possibly even cloned, is not healthy at all. Not to mention the fact that Mcshitty's food has been shown not to even age like "normal food".
