Is it normal the moderators allow offensive user names & posts?

What's the point of reporting offensive user names and posts if the moderators do nothing about it?

This has been asked before with no explanation ever being given and it will be very interesting to see if this post if moderated and rejected or approved.

If the moderators don't do something about this I for one will stop using the site and if others do the same it will end up totally taken over by sick degenerates

    What's even the point of banning an account? All they have to do is make another one. Which takes all of about 2 seconds.

      This site can be funny, boring, supportive, intellectually challenging, sexy, informative and just plain fun: surely if every non-troll on here reports these repetitive boring deliberately disgusting posts something can be done about it?

    I think he uses dynamic IP addresses to get around his karma problem. He's definitely a low IQ troll.

      This site doesn't IP track or IP ban. Karma applies to the user name. All you have to do is make a different one. If you noticed the cancer kid fucker has several similar user names. When one karmas out, he just switches to another, the block runs out in 24 hours.

        Karma is related to IP address. The more accounts on the same IP, the greater the restriction.

          I have no doubt management told you that, But I can tell you from personal experience it doesn't work that way. I have changed accounts a few times and when the account is new and I get karmaed out after 20 of 30 posts, I just make another similar name one and it is good for another 20 or 30 post. You can do it day long.

          Look at the guy I am talking about. He is rotating like 6 or 7 user names and posting on literally every single post. If he was changing IP to do it, he wouldn't need to rotate user names, they don't seem to be banned all the links work.

            Yes, but once you've made "too many" (however many that may be...) and if combined with enough thumbs down/legit reports/etc, it limits you to 0-3 comments per day.

            This is the Lesley solution, you see.

            And like everything Udi implements, it has many, many flaws and loopholes. I don't understand computers enough to understand all of them.

              Well all I am saying is it ain't working well in this situation, because that person has been posting on literally every post for a week. I don't know enough about the system to argue what you are saying is supposed to happen, and I believe you 100% that he said that. I am just saying that this person is pretty good proof it isn't working as advertised. Maybe it needs more time but just about ever post for a week has to be able around 500 or so comments I would guess with 80% at least thumbed in to negative territory. That seems like a lot of leash.

              Also, the privacy policy on the site says that cookies are loaded on the browser to avoid multi voting and thumbing but that no identifying information is collected from your system. I would think an IP would be considered an identifier, I would consider it one. But I could be wrong.

    and about the reporting thing.. I guess u should just stop giving a fuck...? I mean yea sure we're all gonna have to leave at some point or another :X
