So a great guy I have been in high school with that we have had at least 1 class together each year and share similar interests. I like him, he knows, and kindly took me to prom and we had a great time.......yet as my friends say /c I can't directly ask him uses the line, oh I only like her as a friend and I don't want to ruin our frienship. Ok so guys when you say that do youran it or just trying in a nice way rejecting a girl you know well! Also should I just finally confront him and personaly tell him my feelings because I honestly believe we could be a great couple, were really not that close of friends but comfortable around each other. Please give me some advice, should I just give up!?!

    this is actually a very common codeline for men all over the world. i would advise you never to take a man's word at face value, for there is an ulterior meaning to all male speech. for example...

    "i only like her as a friend" is an anagram of:

    "horny as a fiend, like reli"

    so this means he has a huge erection. sounds like a nice guy.
