Is it normal that you find your self taking the blame of other people

There is this time i felt that i had to protect one of my friends, by blaming my self for not being supportive to them but while it was them whom were not, and also i turn to take the blame of our maid, the Gardner because i don't want to see them hurt and it hurts me to see people being shouted and accused for just small things

I think therapists would call it the "hero syndrome" where you will take on the burden for those that you yourself feel don't deserve it.

The movie adaptation of "Green Hornet" i believe is a good example of the hero syndrome. At the end of the day, Seth Rogen, so not a hero ever tries to become a villain in order to bring justice. Even though he does in some way, hes just the guy who takes all the credit but doesn't deserve it.

You are like Seth Rogen. You don't deserve to take the blame but you take it anyway because you are righteous. It doesn't make you a better person and, you don't want to be a better person.

It's not normal, at all. You and I, should grow up.

No matter who is at fault, in my profession, I am always the responsible party. If the engines stop and the ship causes an environmental disaster, I am held responsible (and possibly sent to jail) even though the fault lies with the engineering staff. So, yes, even though it may not be voluntary, I must, at all times take responsibility for the actions of all others aboard my ship.
