Is it normal that whenever i sing i get sleepy?

I've been doing chorus and singing since i was in 4th grade. Never once had i noticed this strange feeling until this year. Whenever i sing i catch myself falling asleep! During show choir i was singing my voice part and i didn't notice it but my eyes were getting heavy and my vision turned a bit blurry like when you're about to fall asleep and i had no thoughts in my head. I have enough air to sing but is this normal or what?

  • You breathing properly when you sing? maybe your diaphragm muscle just needs strengthening, make sure your back straight and your breathing out from your chest (pushing your tummy forward - it apparently fills your lungs better) If you're yawning whilst singing, might just have too much c02 and too little oxygen in your system, hence the tiredness lack of energy feeling. I don't do singing but been going swimming with my head down in the water and that's helped improve my overall breathing.
