Is it normal that when i look at a video of myself i feel retarded?

Sometimes me and mates and/or family take videos, especially My sis and I, and then later when I'm watching it I hate almost everything I see about myself including my voice, the way I act, what I say. To me it just looks like I'm a retard when I'm not. I think how could anyone ever like me or even love me...So is this normal to feel this way about myself when I hear my own voice and see myself on camera?

    It's very normal and I feel the exact same way. I really hate how I look in a recorded video but it's my voice I hate the most. I sound exactly like Napoleon Dynamite and I'm not exaggerating one bit.

    Lol this made my day so much. I am the same exact way. I always perceive myself as a goofball and have a weird voice. I just asked my brother yesterday if I sound like a grown man because in a video I watched of myself, I felt like it was very soft.

    Yeah! It's totally normal! I feel the same way all the time! When I re- watch stuff I'm in, I feel stupid, and kind of like an attention hog, an I say, why would I do that? Yeah I think a lot of people feel te same way! :) hope this helped!
