Is it normal that when i feel good i feel like i've never felt bad

When I'm in a good mood (feeling happy) I can't remember ever being in a bad mood. I can't remember how bad moods feel. I feel like I'll never be sad again.

Pretty sure that's normal. What would be the point otherwise?

it's only when I start remembering how a bad mood feels when I'm feeling happy that my happiness starts to subside a little. And vice versa.
So I voted no. Unfortunately my mind has a way of balancing me out so I remain in a perpetual state of bittersweet melancholy.

  • I'm the same way. I always figured I have a bad emotional memory. Unless I'm feeling something in the moment, I don't know what it's like.
