The guy that I've started dating has never had a girlfriend before (he's nineteen)and he's really shy and a little awkward. We've been dating for almost two months and we still haven't kissed. He rarely hugs me or even touches me. Is this normal?
What, do you need a diverse array of sea creatures to sing to you about it?
Why don't you hug or touch him? He's new to this, he might need someone to help him on the right path!
Aww that's so cute!~ My advice, keep almost kissing him. Like reach over and get your lips real close, but pretend not to realize. That might give him the urge to want to kiss you to. So that way, when you go to kiss him, he'd be more eager and less scared. It's not full proof, but accidental encounters sounds like a good plan. Even just "Bumping into him" Or "Not realizing you were sitting so close on the couch" :P Mebe
He just hasn't had enough experience. You should definitely make the first move or coax him into doing it. Start off slow though, get him use to the idea of hugging you first.
As for he hasn't had enough experience, he knows how to do this, it isn't really that hard to get the hang of! He might have low self-esteem. If he still hasn't realized you are into him! He might also want you to take the risk of rejection instead of him! I don't know what is your gut telling you? I think it's telling you that something isn't right with the situation! I have many such experiences with guys who have self-esteem issues! And it almost ALWAYS comes down to their exes made the moves on THEM instead of vice-versa! Some guys have played the passive one in the relationships they've had so often they are afraid to take any risks or chances! It really depends on if you want the relationship to last or not! I would explain to him how this makes you feel. If he hears you tell him and still can't make a move then something is wrong!
Well, it depends on if you want to be making the moves all throughout the relationship! I've found that when the woman makes the first move ALL the time it basically sets the tone for the whole relationship! Did you approach him first or did he approach you? IF you did, he is going to expect this from you ALL the time! After TWO MONTHS, if he still hasn't gotten comfotable with displaying how much he likes YOU but you've definitely shown your enthusiam, then that is not really fair to make you do ALL of the work! I would be upfront and ask him why he hasn't tried to kiss you yet! Obviously this is bothering you or you wouldn't be posting this ?. It's fine to make him feel great but he needs to be doing the same with you!Ask him what he is feeling? This will spare your feelings in the end!
This isnt that normal really, but it sounds like hes nervous which is kinda cute in my opinion :) like other people have said you should make the first move but if he pushes away then its likely there's something wrong but it is probalby just cuz hes a bit scared. Goodluck :)
This is all new to him. I suggest that you guide him on what to do. Eventually he'll get the hang of it.
