Is it normal that we don't have 'sensual sex'?

My boyfriend and I are both young (18 and 19) and we started having sex a couple weeks ago. We've 'done it' a couple times... Under ten... And none of it has ever been sensual, or deeply emotional. Except for our first time, which was a little soft and emotional... But really the bare minimum. It's always this Sorta teenage sex drive and attraction that results in hot sex.

This doesn't bother me a LOT, because we both really enjoy our 'bed time', but our first time was my very first time (first time I'd ever had intercourse), and he knows that. He's been doing it since he was 16/17 (I asked).

Now I know that he's not just using me for sex, because he waited until I was ready and were really close.

I'm wondering if it's normal that we don't have that deep emotional sex, and just have.. Hot sex. And if anyone has any advice that would be great

    Your problem is that you've just started. The romance books and movies usually tell you that sex is amazing right from the start and you always have the best orgasms ever.

    Now you're finding out the truth ... that it's not always thunder and fireworks. It takes time to figure each other out, what you like, what feels best.

    My advice - don't worry so much about the "big bang" at the end. go slowly, take time to learn from each other, and enjoy the journey. You'll get there. unless you rush. then you'll find it a harder path to navigate.

    Usually early on in a relationship that has become intimate (like first month or so of us doing the dirty ;P) its mostly "hot" more intense kind of sex. And then once we calm down and get into each others rhythm it becomes more sensual more often. Don't stress too much, it is your first time being with someone after all. It's not gonna be all awesome and everything you've ever imagined right away. My first sexual encounters as a teenager were awkward as fuck. :P
