Is it normal that watching "i survived" helps me sleep?

My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy because I like the have "I survived", a show where people recap their near death experiences, on while I go to sleep. I have a lot of trouble sleeping at night and I find the show really helps. The show is very simple and has no visual stimulation so I can just lay my head on my pillow and listen. The show also has a very calming musical interlude between each story. Most nights I sleep with music, but sometimes I just need something else to think about when I'm particular anxious. These stories really help put life in perspective because whatever I'm going threw could be much much worse. Is that really abnormal?

Definitely. People watch friends, real Housewives of [brainless state], and family guy in bed, why not anything else.
My guy and I have watched 1000 Ways to Die in bed before, usually we watch movies before bed, and they're always thriller/gore/horror.

I might just look this up. Fourth straight night of chronic insomnia - I'll try anything now.

Great show. I definitely recommend it.

I'm not sure if it would help you sleep, though. I would get too into it.
