Is it normal that up until i turned 16 i cried in school?

From when I was 15 in 10th grade all the way back to as far as I can remember I have had something happen to make me cry in class. I'm a boy, I'm not gay, I would just get stressed out or embarrass myself and start crying and make a scene. It dropped my self-confidence down to zero everytime it happened, it's like I couldn't control my emotions and it goes without saying that I was immediately alienated by friends and had absolutely no chance of getting with girls. Oh and just FYI I'm on anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medication and since I've been on it haven't had too much trouble with crying, also been out of school...yeah. If you wanna make fun or cause trouble expect an assload of hatemail cause really I've got nothing to do here but make up nasty shit and sit on it. thank you.

Then and now, especially, I hate the idea of crying in front of others. Due to what I was instilled with, I can't help but to link negative connotations with me crying in front of others. In terms of therapist, I have done, so far, everything in my power not to cry in front of her. I know by now that she isn't going to treat me/view me badly for it but, I guess that I just don't want to risk it.

I Used to cry quite easily in public and at home. I was just so sensitive. I am less sensitive now, but it could be because, I have apparently become emotionally numb to help me deal with certain situations/revelations in my life.

Of course, it was embarrassing. My family used to make fun of me when I got upset at home and one in particular would demean me if she found out that I cried in public... Not only was I sensitive, but I was under a shit ton stress, etc. I just couldn't emotionally handle certain things.

Do you see a therapist, by any chance?

Yeah me too, I always cry when I get really frustrated and it seems like I cant do anything right, but I'm a girl. This is weird but I kind of like it when guy cry because they're not afraid to show their emotions...

I cry whenever I get really frustrated. Its so embarrassing :( like during a game, if I keep on missing the shot or turnovers or anything like that I just get so frustrated and I just break down. Same thing goes for when I try to solve a math problem, show it to the teacher, and I get it wrong so I have to keep doing it until I get it right and sometimes I never get it so I start crying. :(
