Is it normal that thunderstorms are soothing?
I don't know why but every time I hear thunder and lightning it calms me. I don't know what it is but I just like listening to the low rumbles and see the lightning flash. Is that normal?

Cool! I love me a good thunderstorm. It helps me sleep better at night, the pitter patter of the rain and the flashes of lightning... yup, a great night's sleep.
I wake up unusually happy in the morning and wide awake if I go to sleep to a thunderstorm. Something is calming and stress relieving about it. I wish I had more thunderstorms here. It's the best to wake up to one in the morning around breakfast. It makes my school day better if there is a storm during my classes
YES definitely normal, I play rain on recording sometimes, when I'm stressed or manic from sleep loss
Oh, I feel the same way. I live in the San Francisco area and it hardly ever does that here. I'm in total awe. I love it so much when it does happen.
It's storming at my house! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Kentucky gets ALOT of storms!
Id rather listen to rain and thunder all day then have a day with 70°F weather, and no clouds.

i miss them terribly. i moved to california, and there's practically no rain out here (much less thunderstorms).
Yeah! It's totally normal! I have always loved listening to storms that pass through at night. There's one going on right now and I feel quite calm.
Ewwww I fucking hate thunderstorms they annoy me so much, and I have a diagnosed phobia of thunder storms so I get scared everytime. Try to come down and live in Florida, there's a huge thunderstorm every other day in the summer and in the winter there's one about once a week. I live in the thunderstorm capital of the world, Orlando
