It pisses me off that popular baby names often come about due to highly popular movies/tv shows. For example, a couple years ago everyone was naming their daughters Bella because of Twilight. And then there was the Macie and Bentley thing from Teen Mom. I think its tacky and ridiculous because in a couple years, these names will have no relevance. Is this normal to feel this way?

    I was named after the mother from the movie lorenzo's oil but my mother just genuinely liked the name.

    Both my first name and my middle name come from TV shows/films/actors. However that's better than being named after a brand of tinned peas (as I almost was).

    Simon ain't great but it's better than being called Plumley. And having people ask how I got such an unusual name, telling them I was named after a tin of peas.
