Is it normal that this irritates me to no end?

My twitter was recently filled with "WAAAHHH WIKIPEDIA'S DOWN I CAN NO DO ME HOMEWORK, WHY?! WTFS SOPA N WHY TODAY?!" comments. This pisses me off in a variety of ways:

A) I didn't want my first login OR my e-mail spammed with this crap!

B) I remember being told by ALL of my professors to NOT use Wikipedia!

C) IT TELLS WHAT SOPA IS ON THE PAGE AND THEY DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO INFORM THEMSELVES ABOUT IT BUT DECIDE TO MOAN ON TWITTER! AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO WOULD ACTUALLY RATHER WASTE THE EFFORT AND AT LEAST HAVE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE TOPIC THAT THEY'RE TRYING TO GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT?! (Rage translation: Isn't it a better idea to be informed and do something about it instead of whining on a social networking site?)

    Yeah I know. I wanted to check out some useless shit on wiki but I was forced against my will to blow off the dust off of my dictionary and do it manually. Poor me.

    Absolutely normal. That is the reason I stopped using Twitter & Facebook.
    As if we don't see enough ignorance just walking out the door.
