Is it normal that this happened to me in the middle of the night

Well, about a week ago I woke up at about 2am and once I was fully awake the walls in my room started pushing away from me going farther and farther then this voice in my head started screaming at me in my head so I turned my lamp on and the voice witch was a male voice started screaming at me to turn my light off then I don't even know what the voice was saying after that but it kept getting louder and louder and louder I just sat there for about 20 minutes then the voice stopped and I went to sleep. This same exact thing happened to me ALL the time when I was little but dice that day I can't sleep its weird and annoying because I go to school and I'm tired all the time HELP

You need to see a mental health professional ASAP. Don't be embarrassed. You'll be taking care of yourself.

Could you move your body when this happened? where you able to feel your body(not by touching, but being aware of it) when you saw the walls moving? Because if not, that sounds like a sleep paralysis case to me.. it's normal if it happens once in a long while. But if it's prejudicating your health, you should seek for the help of a doctor(psychiatrist and neurologist to be precise). Good luck!

  • I think you have a head problem of some kind. The fact that this distresses you and interferes with your life is probably not a good sign at all. If you see a shrink, you'll inevitably be diagnosed as paranoid schizo and given a cocktail of drugs. The guy who said it is a gift is (probably) wrong. I can't be certain that he isn't right. However, the fact that you are experiencing some pretty major distress is not typical of a psychic ability. Usually people with a natural psychic ability have some ability to either control any hallucinations they have or at least are able to sleep at night and not be "tired all the time" or suffer any drastic negative consequences from it. If you said "It doesn't bother me but sometimes I hear voices at night as I go to sleep" and it did not cause you to act them out as if they were commands, I would entertain that maybe you are psychic or that it is not a pathological experience. Either way, I think you need help, but does this occur as you are going to sleep, waking up, or very shortly (like a few brief seconds or a minute or two) after waking up. If that's the case, it is probably less serious by a long shot. In either case though, it seems that your getting distressed by these experiences enough to warrant seeing a psychologist.

Seek medical help now!!!! I think you would benefit a lot from a sleep study.

you sound like you are clairaudient. cool. i would suggest researching techniques that help you to control your ability instead of it controlling you. mental health professionals don't understand your gift(s). they're not trained to. keep us posted.
