Is it normal that this happened in my dream?

Last night, I dreamt Gumball (from the Amazing World of Gumball, a show on Cartoon Network) was in my garage and when I turned to leave, he ran inside the house and he swiveled into my view like a camera in a horror game. His face was wrinkled and swollen, his mouth was in a hideous grimance, and his eyes were blood red and glowing. To make things worse, it was very dark and my dream did a close-up of Gumball's face. I nearly screamed even though I couldn't move my mouth at the time. It was just so scary and unexpected since the dream was going well at first. I blame horror games and Ren & Stimpy for this. Is it normal I dreamt this?
