I'm friends with this girl, but I haven't known her that long (few months). I was at a party with friends and this girl was their too. As I was leaving she hugged me and said she loved me. But we are just friends and she is interested in another guy so I thought it was weird that she did that. It's not really a big deal but I thought it was weird. She is not really the type of person to randomly say she loves people.

    Oh don't think anything of it. Everyone I know that are good friends with someone else say they love them to their best guy friends and girlfriends even when they like someone else or in a relationship. It's just a way of saying your a really good friend I trust you and blah blah blah

    If she is into another guy and she hugged you at a party she might love you. She probably means it as a friend. Girls tend to use this more liberally compared to men. It does not always mean something intimate.

    There is a difference between I love you and I'm in love with you. I love most people I would do anything for them. but I not in love with everyone. get it?

    Unfortunately people throw these words around like nothing these days. It probably was meant as a friend thing. Stupid of her if you ask me.

    Same thing happened to me a while ago. If you are positive she has a crush on another guy and not you, i think she just said that as a friend
