Is it normal that they are all friends?

My uncle was married to his now ex-wife for many years. They're divorced now but they keep in contact still and hang out. And his new wife of a few years isn't only completely fine with it, but she'll hang out with them too! And no, there's no children involved in this situation. I'm also pretty sure that they're not having threesomes, so don't ask. His ex-wife was once going through tough times and depression, and his new wife had no problem letting her stay at her and her husband's house for a while. They're even planning to go to the beach togethor this week, all three of them a long with my dad and probably me. Is it normal that they're all so cool about this?

    Why be enemies, though?

    • There's no reason to be enemies. It just seems that in most peoples' minds there's this rule that you can't have any more contact with a person you broke up with because apparently it ALWAYS means there's unresolved feelings and drama right around the corner. I personally don't think that always needs to be true.
