Is it normal that website's like "20 things men want to hear", "Things men don't want to hear", "10 compliments you should say to your girlfriend" and so on... annoy the hell out of me?

If the guy or girl doesn't want to hear it, just be honest. They are just retarded because I know of a lot of women and men that don't care about what they say to eachother or what ever the website is about. I think they make it sound like you should be with an asshole or bitch or that it's normal to be with one.

    I've seen some good ones. Like, Turn off the TV, sit down and listen to what your spouse has to say, let them talk, don't get defensive, don't yell so on and so forth. You know, common sense shit that some people, in all of the years of their lives, have not been able to figure out (I no longer wonder why the divorce rate is so high, by the way).

    But the rest are just fucking retarded. If you don't know how to talk to people, your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband etc. like a civilized human being than I doubt any self-help columns will help you at all.

    And then again, some of them are quite obviously products of how deeply idiotic members of our society can be. I have a fun time reading the columns in which women who have never been married and have nothing but female friends are telling me how to have a GREAT relationship with my husband. Ho hum.

    Those things have always annoyed me too. Learn how to relate to someone by relating to them, not by reading some sappy shit some teenager posted on their blog. ;P

    I could shorten all their advice to men in relation to women.... Tell women the truth NOT what you think they want to hear. In truth, men haven't a clue what each woman in their life wants to hear so the truth makes a refreshing change :o)

      Yes for sure. And if the woman doesn't want the truth then she is just a bitch.

      I myself admit it, I can get hurt from hearing the truth at times and I know it happens with everyone but why would you want to hear something made up just to make you feel good. That is just selfishness there. I of course get over it later and feel even better at just the fact he was honest and told the truth.

      It's when they making assumptions that hurt worse just ask if there is something negative going on in your mind. :) Don't cause the emotional drama.

        Even my teenage son has started to do this and when I ask him why, he says it keeps life sweet. Wrong! Coz if I go down a particular path thinking it's what he wants, then at sometime in the future he has to admit he wasn't telling the truth. Duh! Men!

          Lol that make me laugh. Its just human I guess be cause I know plenty of women who do it too which isn't good. I use to do it more when I was younger too so it must be a teenage thing.

    I hate them too, saw one the other day "ten things women say & what they mean"
    I was like not every woman hide their feelings by saying "they are fine" ! ... I had a bad day that day.

    Ha! The ones that get me are the "15 tips to spice up the bedroom" ones. I have read a few out of curiosity, and most of what I have seen is the most mundane crap that you should already be doing!
