It's not normal but just tell a docter, he'll give you a medicine and they will be gone in a couple of days.

Do you have a pet with worms, or did you eat any undercooked meat recently? Either of those could have infected you. Go see a doctor ASAP.

pin worms. you need to take a pill that is dry as cotton and taste like a smartie to get rid of them. i had pin worms twice when i was a child. does your ass hole itch? They wigggle out of it at night...ew

^ It's because they either want to make sure it's a medical condition before spending tons of money at the doctor, or they're stupid, like this poster.

My cat had worms once. The vet had her eat this stuff that killed them. Maybe the same stuff will work for you?

Not normal. See a doctor, the first treatment didn't completely resolve the problem.

why do people come here first when it's clearly a doctor's issue?

Because going to a doctor about something and then being told that it is normal after all would be really embarrassing? Especially if you were worrying about it for days before hand. A lot of people are nervous about seeing a doctor, they want to know if it is strictly neccessary first. For all the OP knows, everyone might have wormy poop, and it should just be ignored. It shouldn't be ignored, and now the OP knows that, and probably will see a doctor.

the thing is... worrying won't make it go away if it's serious.

going to the doctor will let you know how to treat it.
not going and just worrying breeds ... more worrying and a possibility of making it worse

pin worms are usually from not washing hands before you eat

Just go to the pharmacists and ask for tablets for thread worms - then you won't have to go to your doctor. Their eggs can easily by eaten - especially by children / adults who bite their nails, as that's where the eggs usually are.

Have you eaten pork sausage recently?

It's not just sausage! Any pork that is undercooked can contain worms. Yum!

True. I just recall an incident where my daughter ate sausage at her dads and the next day he went for the leftovers and when he cut into it, there was something there that clearly should not have been there. My daughter had to give a stool sample. Not fun. I haven't eaten pork, especially sausage, since that happened a few years ago

My sister won't eat pork for that reason. She's never had a first hand experience but she is just a germ freak and won't ingest something that could give her worms.
It's harmless as long as you know how to cook it, though.
