I have this friend who likes me. I don't get attracted to her but she's a good friend. Everyone is saying I am making a mistake by not dating her. Is it normal?
It happens. I think those people who are saying that you're making a mistake, are trying to tell you to see what you have right in front of you. You might not realize what you have right now, until one day she doesn't want you anymore. Then you'll find that you really do like her, and realize how much of a mistake it was to not take her then when she was practically already yours. Its a sad thing, but a lot of times people really don't see what they got until its gone.
Ldizzy has got it exactly right. That's exactly what happened to me. I could have easily had a relationship with this girl and had everything I could possibly want, but I wasn't attracted to her at the time. Then I fell for her, hard, and she didn't want me anymore. To this day I deeply regret not asking her to be my girlfriend and it's been almost a year. Think about it long and hard, you never know it could be an amazing opportunity.
