Is it normal that the foreskin of my penis doesn't retracts??

When I have an erection, the foreskin of my penis doesn't retracts (pulls back) over the head of my penis. Is it normal??

It doesn't retract on it's own, or it doesn't retract at all? Not all foreskins will automatically retract on their own. This is normal and nothing to worry about. However, if your foreskin does not retract at all, you should probably get it checked by your doctor. It could be fused to the glans from not washing under it, or it could be phimosis. If it is phimosis, your doctor will treat it by giving you stretching exercises, cream, or in some cases surgery.

  • If it won't retract at all, that's an actual medical condition and you might need to see a doctor.
