Is it normal that the bump under my knee hurts?

No problems on my right leg, but the slightest tap or bump, to the ah... bump under my left leg's knee cap triggers quite a sharp pain.

Had this my entire life, and doesn't necessarily bother me, but decided this can't be normal since my right leg's bump doesn't hurt. Anyone else?

    I have that bump under my knee on my right leg. It used to hurt when I'd tap it but now it only hurts if I bump it hard. I don't know if having this bump is normal but I've had it for a very long time too.

    I don't have a bump on any of my knees. Get it checked out by your GP.

    Sounds like a growth plate.it is a little extra piece of bone.my daughter has one in her knee cap.can cause pain and
    Even serious injury if hit too hard
