Is it normal that sounds tickle me when heard through my left ear?

So whenever I have sound going through my left ear (either from ear buds or people whispering in it), it sends shivers down the side of my back that makes me struggle not to move around or laugh. People are often confused by this, and it makes listening to my ipod or to others talking to me on my left side difficult at times. Is this normal, or am I the only one this way?

It's the eardrum and such vibrating. It's how you detect sound. Maybe certain frequencies cause your ear to vibrate more than others and more in your left ear than your right.

Look up ASMR. It does things like this. A lot of people have it. When someone plays with my hair I get a shiver too. On youtube if you search Asmr videos will pop up of people trying to trigger your Asmr. It helps you relax

Same here, except it happens with my right ear. Listening to music is awful when there's a sound in the right ear bud that isn't in the left. I always thought it was normal, but maybe it's a medical anomaly...

I think this has happened to me a few times. I don't think its normal... Just in case, I think you should see a ENT.
