Is it normal that sometimes i re-chew my food?

So sometimes when I'm eating food, I'll prepare to swallow it. But before it can sink all the way down my throat, I'll cough it back up and re-chew it. I usually do it with popcorn, because it actually taste good to chew it a second time. But I find that I'll do it with pretty much any food that doesn't turn into a liquid in my mouth. Is this normal?

I've never heard of anyone do this before, but I don't see anything wrong with it either. As long as it isn't bothering you or anyone, I'd say it's normal in a way.

Cows kind of do that except they have four stomachs so after it's visited one stomach, they cough it back up and send it into another.

I voted Not Normal. A friend of mine who had OCD used to do this. It was disgusting.

I chew my food more than most perhaps 50-60 times before swallowing, it's good for digestion but I don't see the advantage of pausing to swallow and then coughing back up again.

"...cough it back up and re-chew it."? That doesn't sound normal at all. Then again, I'm losing 3 to 1 at the moment.
