Is it normal that some guys make me submissive?

So this ex I dated called the shots, and I loved it. He was totally faithful to me, and I like how when I was indecisive, he made a decision for me. I felt so protected and reassured with him because he was taller than me and always knew how to calm me down. But the thing is, outside of relationships I'm very "yeah I can't wait to be independent!" and then when I was with him, its like he brought out my inner 50's housewife. I just wanted to listen to whatever he wanted and to make him happy and be girly and cute. Is this normal? Is it normal for guys to make me want to be submissive?

    Different people bring out different sides of you. I think it's normal. I experience it all the time.

    It is normal, our "nature" or natural desires are sometimes stronger than our "theories" or conscious convictions.

    I think some people in some relationships like to have a person in the lead. I wouldn't worry about it if it's not a problem. In my experience a lot of women like a decisive partner though there is a big difference between that and a controlling one.

    Well honey, I'm not entirely sure if that's normal or not. Do you act submissive because you feel there's an underlying threat with your relationship? (well, ex relationship.)Also, what was the cause of your breakup?
