Yes.
The smell of weed did this for me a long time ago before I had even smoked any of it myself for the first time. It was because my parents used to smoke it when I was very little, and I remembered what it smelled like because I would smell it sometimes when I went into their room. It took me a long time to realize why the smell triggered a nostalgic and familiar feeling for me. Lol.
Smell is a great memory trigger. The smell of summer rain always reminds me of my uncle's house and some metals remind me of my grandfather.
Yes it is normal, a couple days ago I found an old cologne that I used to put on my sophomore year ( I am now a senior) and it reminded me of my ex and all of the memories that I shared with her.. it felt weird but not really, I enjoyed it while it lasted..
Haha yeah. Weirdly enough there is a certain deodorant that reminds me of a time in my life because I wore it during a great time.
The smell of bleach reminds me of my grandmother, well that and the smell of pot.
Every time I gas myself it reminds me of those summer days in the sulfur mines back home.
*gases himself reminiscing**
Yes. Sometimes certain smells can bring back childhood memories and thoughts of happier times in my life.
I love when that happens. Of course I can't think of anything specific right now.
It's normal. The same thing happens with some perfumes, they bring me memories of when I was younger too. Also the smell of Old Spice brings me memories of my grandpa
One person is either very weird or has never took a psychology class before. Of all your five senses, your sense of smell triggers the most memories.
