Is it normal that she walks around the house like this?

I moved to Florida from NJ, and decided to drive. Part of the trip was to stay at my uncle's place in Virginia, who I had not seen in a few years. I stayed there for one weekend, (Friday to Saturday).
The first morning (Friday), as her mom and I were eating breakfast, my cousin comes down, wearing just bra and panties. At first I thought 'big deal, we're among girls'. My uncle (her dad) had already left for work.
The next day, Saturday morning, I walked up to the living room, and there she was, sitting in front of the TV and eating cereal, again in bra and panties. This time, her Dad was at the table, eating his breakfast. They both said "good morning" very calmly and casually. Neither her nor her dad seemed uncomfortable.
That Saturday night, the three of us were watching TV, and my cousin comes to the living room, this time in panties and a t-shirt. She stayed for about an hour, got bored and went to her room, and again, her parents seemed to think nothing of it.
Other than that, they were great hosts, but do you think it's normal for some kids to do this in front of their parents?

Different families have different 'household clothing policies'.

You get nudist families, you get families that are comfortable to laze around in their underwear, you get families that find the thought of being seen by a family member in their underwear mortifying. Each to their own.

There's really nothing wrong with it as far as I'm concerned.

No i don't think it's normal at all but if the people involved are not bothered by it who are we to question it?

If its making you feel uncomfortable you should talk to your cousin.

There is nothing wrong with family nudism or semi nudism. it's not sexual- that's what everyone who is nudephobia is afraid about. but if you have a problem about it talk to them. just afraid you'll feel stupid in the end after they explain their point of view

i dont see why not. It only gets weird if its sexualized. Maybe they just feel comfortable w each other.

Seems like they think it's normal. You probably, in a polite manner of course, should have said something though since it was making you uncomfortable.

Anyone who says it's not normal is a prude. We were born naked, the only reason why were wear clothes is warmth and "decency". If someone is not offended by nudity and its warm enough to not wear clothes, there is no problem wearing little/none.

I live with my sister (both adults, sharing costs) and I walk around in just shorts most of the time and she has no issue with me seeing her wearing just panties and a singlet at night. That said we're Aussies, a far less prudish country than the US anyway..

No it isnt normal and if they never teach her to respect herself she never will and neither will anyone else.
