Is it normal that rarely my belly button stinks a bit

The belly button has an entire ecosystem of unique bacteria (only found in belly button).
Like most bacteria on your skin, they consume sweat which will produce body odor. Normal. If it gets bad, go tell doc.

That is totally normal. It is because your belly button traps sweat and bacteria. This is more common in people with certain belly button shapes. Like the other person said, you can clean it with a bit of alcohol on a cotton swab, or use warm salt water if you prefer something less harsh (be sure to dry it out though). Also, make sure you dry your belly button really well after you shower so that water doesn't stay trapped in there.

It's just collecting sweat. Everynight before your shower, take a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol and clean in there. Then shower as normal
