Is it normal that poor grammar turns me off?

People who use horrible grammar make my man meat shrink. It's so unattractive to hear a gorgeous woman speak like she sucked her way through high school. Am I just overly judgmental or does anyone agree that poor grammar is a huge turnoff?

I'm American and yes, foreigners are exempt because their accents are sexy as hell. It can't be easy to learn the basics of another language, let alone mastering the grammatical structure.

When you're young you think its cool to tAlwK li3K d!Z but its not even funny once you start to forget how to write proper and spell certain words. Must be difficult getting hard nowadays.

Oh btw, I voted for you in the favorite person poll!

      • No, I'm pretty close but I still can't decode the third word. I have a feeling I won't like it though.

It's strange. I am a bit turned off by it but I was involved with someone last year who sent me texts like "y u not tawkin' 2 mi?" and I still thought she was fabulous.

Agree. I also get extremely annoyed when someone spells "chilling" as "chillen" and ect.

  • Totally. There's someone here who has TERRIBLE grammar. It drives me nuts. Someday I'm gonna go behind his posts and just re-say everything he said but using the correct grammar.

Well.....I guess I better go than.

  • You do realise most people will do mistakes now writing on your post so your "man meat" will shrink?

    Sry.

  • I agree. And I'm actually guilty of poor grammar though, but only when I'm not sober. I got better over the years. But I still feel afraid I might type/send the wrong thing when I'm doing anything stronger than grape juice.

One time I was at my friend's band's gig. There were lots of cute chicks there. But this one girl really stood out from the rest. (At least she did to me)
Anyways, I was mustering up the courage all night to go talk to her.

I got within ear shot of her. I overheard her talking to some douche. She said..." Where you stay at?" to the guy. The guy responded, then asked where she was from too.

First of all, it was bad enough that she sounded like a ghetto black. But when she said "El Segundo" I fucking lost my shit!

NOBODY FROM EL SEGUNDO IS GHETTO LIKE THAT. Trust me.

BTW, "Where you stay at?" is what uneducated blacks say when they're asking "where do you live?" (at least in the States)

It's too bad really. She had awesome legs. But she was ashamed to be an upper-middle class, educated white girl.
