Is it normal that perfectly reasonable posts and responses vanish?

This is happening very frequently recently and I don't understand why clearly written intelligent questions and their responses suddenly become unavailable.

It's the nature of this site. If you feel emotionally invested in something you wrote, make a copy of it.

By the way, your post has a high probability of vanishing, as most posts complaining about the site do.

I didn't mean questions I'd sent in, I meant other people's questions. And yeah I was prepared for my post to not turn up so am pleasantly surprised it has, although I won't be surprised if it vanishes fairly soon

I thought that might be a possibility but why is h/she being allowed by the mods to get away with it?

I think its some odd loophole. It appears that any post that gets reported gets taken off before any mods decide if it actually should be. They might need to change that part.

They got reported by someone and sent to the 'awaiting moderation' section. They might later get approved and reappear, otherwise they get deleted.

Thanks, I thought that could be the case. I think it's ridiculous that we don't have to give a reason for reports: surely that would make the mods' job easier? If the reason was pointless it could be ignored at that stage rather than sending stuff for moderation and then having to decide. Just thinking out loud, I know nothing about moderating a website and speculating

I agree maybe they ( mods) will figure bit out.
I just can't get why the troll does this stuff.

Nor can I but I don't see any point in trying to work out why: trolls just are what they are and we can only try & control how we respond to them, preferably by ignoring their idiocy

That's good! I only read those crappy magazines cause they are next to my checkout lane when were slow. I'd bet Miley was probably perped on by someone ( maybe even her dad, ugh) cause her self degrading behavior is so far outside even the norms for Hollywood.
