Is it normal that people think i am intelligent when i am really not?
Hey internet!
I have a strange question. I am generally speaking a pretty lucky person and I live a pretty content life. But there is something that I really find weird. That is: people think I am extremely smart. Ok I have completed two levels of education: bachelor and master (even 2 actually). But I am far from being the best and if only people knew how really lazy I am ahah.
Anyway, when I speak to people everyone is shocked about what I say and they immediately have the perception that I am a super smart guy which...I am not. This is a good thing on the one hand, on the other hand it can be very frustrating cos I feel the pressure that people will discover that I am not as smart as they think. I know the real me and I do not think I am that good at anything to be honest. My studies (political science, sustainability and urban planning) have given me a super broad and holistic perspective on society and its relations. Which it's nice but still I feel there is so much more to learn (especially technical knowledge) that I could posses which I still lack and this will eventually have an impact on my future career.
Is this normal for you? Maybe I will have a brilliant career at selling stuff because I am good at self-branding haha.
What do you think?
