Why are people who respond so mean sometimes??? Seriously you don't have to comment right? I get so upset cause people are just looking for advice not to be torn to pieces.
I did a poll on music and every single comment was people hating on my favorite music and I was wondering why ppl would take time out of their day to hate on my music u know. That just seems like a huge waste of time to me.
Thanks everyone! I just get so upset like if it is because of an iPhone error or if someone is mean about a legitimate post. But yeah it's good to remember that some people are just terrible and that they want to upset you, so it's best not to let them get to you. Usually I just ignore it but it upsets me cause I'm not some little kid posting things like I have a crush. Is this normal? Lol also I do understand that some people who are rude do deserve nasty comments sometimes. I just feel like I don't deserve it.
People like having their voice heard.
If they're right, and making an educated suggestion or answer, they want others to know it too (especially here, because we all hate seeing the same old post 400 times).
Some people just want to comment for the sake of commenting, they come on with one-day-old vulgar names and post something rude and unhelpful. They want a rise out of you and other posters.
Everyone should be deleting stupid comments, as they only annoy someone who will feel they need to speak up about it.
Jelly's right though: if you're daft or rude, you're going to get a different answer than if you ask a sensible, curious question.

I totally agree people on here can be so rude. I made a post and misspelled some words because i posted it in an iPod touch and it kept autocorrecting my words to words I didn't want but I didn't notice at the time. and this one person was saying I was an idiot and just to ignore the troll (me) people just like to put down others to make themselves feel better
People take advantage of the fact they can be anonymous here, and trolls will be trolls. :/ I usually don't comment on the fake ones, I just try to spread a little wisdom where i can :)
i pretty much agree with randomjelly. if someone is honestly looking for advice, they deserve some helpful advice. but there are also a lot of ignorant people who post here.

I have been on long enough now to know when people are serious and deserve a valid, honest response, and when they need a lip-thrashing. I try to be compassionate and openminded, but sometimes a Fucktard needs to be called a Fucktard. I don't like it when someone is being serious and all they get is a bunch of crap, that is mean in my opinion. There are real people with real issues, like myself who often times don't get any responses. That hurts too! But such is life! I pick and choose who I respond too, as does everyone else. Most of the time the "regulars" like Dappled, and Jelly have good comments and I try to follow inkind. I can usually tell when a story is fake and when it deserves a response or not. Just like the rest of the peeps on here. You can't control what others may or may not do, we just hope for the best, and laugh at the rest!

its because if you asked "why do people troll here?" you'd be laughed out of your own story.
Some people are dicks, and some people are randomjelly. If a dick says it, just ignore it because they are a dick. If randomjelly says it, listen to it because she actually cares.
I've never said anything mean. There are a few people on here that don't take some of the people's problems seriously.
But this is NOTHING compared to the abuse YouTube suffers. YouTube is swarming with bullies.
What jelly said. Legit people will get legit answers. People who go for shock value, and people who make up dumb stories get torn apart. That's the internet. We're here to discourage stupidity.
I'm also pretty mean to people who misspell words and can't construct coherent sentences. Type like a spaz, and you'll get treated like one.

Such is life. On people with legitimate problems I try to be helpful. The pervs, fake posters and the like get nothing but contempt and a dose of snarky.
