Is it normal that people ignore the truth?

I find it funny how most people can just ignore the truth and blindly follow those who will lead them to the path of destruction. From religion to politics and relationships to friends I swear most people from birth eat a bowl of delusion for breakfast followed quickly by 16oz of conformity. I myself was guilty for awhile until thanks to mind altering substances and youtube I saw the truth. If you are helpless to your own plight and so is everyone else like you i guess it would make sense to a fool to live in a fantasy world where you make believe things aren't all fucked up. I for one would like to believe that enough people like myself would one day come together and be willing to die for true equality and peace...until then what is your take on this phenomena where people live with abuse, friends who treat them like shyt/tools, family divided 3/4 of year and come together like they actually love each other,people who watch fox news, private companies controlling the economies of countless nations, puppet politians with strings pulled by business interests, and the jersey shore being on television.

    most people would rather just accept things are fine and live life without having to worry all the time, and there is no shame in this. nor is there any shame in realizing that things are messed up. however you want to live your life..

    Normal but sad them ppl like tht will never develope cause the truth hurts i use to be one of them ppl so i know from life experience but once i learned to open u it felt better and now im going places. They are just negative ppl

    Because my friend..life is not about truth per se..it is about survival..and we as humans are a social, group , herd animal and are existence is more likely to come from BELONGING TO THE GROUP..than going against it...the truth's value only lies in the fact that is is necessary to see reality clearly in order to survive...however if people have a choice btween survival or the truth..they will pick conformity every time..but if you can convince them that in order to survive they must see and embrace the truth..then they will do it...well some will do it..some will just rather die..

    So to answer you questions as to why people put up with all types of shit , it is because they believe that on some level they are still surviving and you are asking them to turn away from a survival that they already have for something else that they don't yet know...they choose the known over the unknown..and then use denial as a mechanism to escape the fact that it is killing them....

    It is highly unlikely that there is a God. It is highly unlikely there is an afterlife. Odd are against us to even get out of the solar system with all the risk of cataclysmic events to set us back. We are nothing more than microscopic organisms in the vast universe.

    There is no point in wasting massive amounts of time studying religion and living your life by guidelines.

    People want to be entertained. It's too hard to think. They don't want to mess with their paradigms. That might put them in the minority and then they would stand out. Also, ppl are not readers. Once I started reading, I lost most my friends, because I can't hang with sheep. My motto, I don't know what I don't know. But I would like to know. Thanks for the great Q !!
