Is it normal that people don't parent anymore?

Why is it that lately we're having do deal with more and more misbehaved children? It seems like the younger kids are now the more undisiplined and feral they're becoming. Maybe its more lax parenting style nowadays? Something in the air? I don't know, but I'm tired of seeing them EVERYWHERE. There is now escape not even BARS anymore?! People let the crotch droppings run free range in public, ruining quiet evenings out with screaming/running around, staring at you from the bus seat in front of you. Or worse fucking with your hair and touching you from the seat behind. Parents just allow this bs and more than I can list, and I gravely fear for the distant future as people get become more useless that I'm glad I'll be a corpse by then. Unaware of what these kids/new babies had made of society.

is it normal I think there should be more pressure on parents to disipline their kids correctly? And adopt some sort of population control, like China? Sounds lovely.

    There's a shifting perception in who deserves respect. I was always told to respect older people because they were wiser (they're not always, but you take the point). That's because our society valued wisdom.

    Now our society values looks, freshness, novelty. We have pop stars who are fourteen years of age, famous for a few months and then cast back into obscurity. It doesn't matter whether they're any good or not, all that matters is that they are new and/or attractive.

    Kids aren't stupid. They knew which direction respect is flowing and they seek to take advantage (why wouldn't they?) You can't strictly blame the kids, but you can blame the factors which have made our society what it is.

    Kids having kids!

    Too much PC where you're not supposed to smack a brat, so label them with ADHD to drug them.

    It takes a lot of effort to constantly discipline a child and too many adults are "What about my life?" so let them run wild to annoy other people. Lazy parenting comes back and bites them on the ass when a child knows no discipline!!

    I don't mind parents having different parenting skills, but I will never be one of those parents who thinks being their friend is the same as being the parent.

    because they like to make kids not to take care of kids. :P

    and too afraid to discipline because of their past experience or maybe don't see the important of doing it.

    Some of these modern parents really piss me off. You know why people stopped disciplining their kids? It's because of political correctness and the risk of being accused of child abuse.

    I hear ya, man. I was waiting at the deli in a supermarket recently and this boy, maybe 7 or 8 years old was running around like a maniac. He ran up to the counter, smacking his hands all over the glass cases, yelling for the lady behind the counter to give him a pickle. The woman truly disgusted me. She calmy told him to wait just a second, and then she gave him a fuckin pickle!! What??!!!?! That's just one of my recent experiences. I was young when I had my daughter, but absolutely devoted to raising the best child I could. I have done well :) she exceeds everyones expectations in most things that she does. I'm a proud mama :)
