I’m a tall guy (6’5) and I’m a legit 6’5 without shoes. I’m 20 and I stopped growing at 18. People always come up to me (usually guys) and they ask “hey man how tall are you?” And when I respond they get pissed and say “yeah fuckin right man you’re like 6’2 when I’m nowhere near 6’2 and towering over them. Are they just jealous? What’s the deal. I have a friend that’s 6’0 and he always tries to argue this with me and I really want to punch his ass in the face. I went with him to get my physical and the doctor literally wrote 6’6 which is actually giving me an inch and he still talks shit

    Well then, carry a tape measure and bet them $500.00 you are right. That'll shut them up. And you will be $500.00 richer. If they think you are lying, they will jump at the chance to get $500.00 away from you. Have them dish out the money before you prove your height though.

    Does it really matter what they think? Does it change reality?

    Over something so inconsequential, I don't see what the big deal is. It's hardly restricting you in any way.

    If someone tells me the sky is fluoro green, it's obviously not true and they're an idiot, but it's hardly worth arguing or getting irritated by.

    It's because a lot of males have insecurity about their height and don't want to believe another male is that much taller than them. It makes them feel short, even if they're average height (5'9 - 5'11 for a male).

    I'm a full foot shorter than you, so I know haha 😂

    Then they're being dumb. Don't argue with them, there's no point. Just tell them that they asked what height you are, and you answered.

    Do you project as being shorter? I’m tall and everyone believes my height, but some guys I know around my height seem shorter because of their demeanor (less confidence, reserved, quiet...etc).

    my id says 6 feet four but i need to update it to six feet five. i will remeasure myself just to be sure. i had a very poor almost starvation diet growing up , so i grew some latter on.
