Is it normal that people disappear whenever i talk to them?

Whenever I message people online, they tend to disappear out of existence. Sometimes I question whether they even existed in the first place. Do I have some sort of superpower, or do I just scare them away with my personality?

Yes, I've noticed this too. The best I can figure is, the Internet doesn't bring us all together as closely as we might think.

I think sometimes I message people and they freak out. Not because I'm so freaky (though actually I am) but because they can't deal with the notion of another human being out there contacting them.

I have a similar issue. When I touch people they turn into skittles.

It's a normal thing for people to abandon their accounts. For the most part, I've stopped making new internet friends because of it.

You're an alien. However, in order to get the data the other aliens need, they erased all your memories of alien life so you can feel 100% human in your fake suit. When you message someone, it sends a signal to the mother ship, which sends a beam to the unsuspecting human and collects that person for experimentation.

Or.... just maybe, as crazy as this sounds, maybe that person you messaged is probably either busy or just didn't feel like talking; AND them not responding probably has nothing to do with you or your personality!!
