i just dont understand why people do it, its like they are jealous and want to be me or something. when i got married, a friend started desperately looking for a girl to be with. when we got pregnant, he got his chick pregnant. when i bought a new flat screen tv, my dad got one that was bigger. when i got my new surround system, my dad got one too. when i got a new car, my dad got a new car. even the guys at work were all commenting on my car and even thought i have had it for a couple of years, my boss still comments saying that he will get a new car soon etc. its really annoying that i cant just live my life without someone trying to be better than me. but the thing is, i am a girl and none of my female friends care, its just the guys. do i make them look less "manly" because i buy all the things that men normally do? i just dont get it.

    Just be happy with what you got. People who are trying to "compete" with you just means they look up too you. It's a good thing.

    Ye it's normal. I've seen this enough and i'm just 18. Much people just say the are going to buy a new.. For example car. The want to be interesting. Much people say im gonna buy this and this what never happens haha. I always start to laugh when i se them again and says "i will buy a new xbox! Haha
