Is it normal that often when i pass a street light it goes out?

I noticed it 5-6 years,I was going home from a party during nighttime and when I passed a street it when out,when I got a few dozen feet from it I looked back and it turned back on.
Since then I kept noticing that it happens to me almost every time when I go somewhere in the night,even when I go to throwout the garbage in the evening.
I also would like to know if it happens to anyone else.

    Happens to me. Could be nothing but faulty lamp (street lights are different kind than indoor ones). But yes, it is annoying.
