Is it normal that noone has asked me why i haven't had a girlfriend?

I'm a 27 year old male, who has never had a girlfriend. In fact, I have never gone further than kissing a girl on the cheek during truth or dare in the 6th grade.

I think of myself as someone, who could have had a girlfriend.

The thing is, I can't remember my family or friends say anything about it or ask how come. I can only remember a couple of times, where people have made comments, wherein it was implied that I could get a girlfriend, but these comments were not of a serious nature.

Pertaining to the above mentioned, I wonder, is it normal for some families or circles of friends to just not talk about matters such as getting a girlfriend?

    Be thankful, because my I was raised by my grandmother, who was ALWAYS asking when I was going to get a girlfriend.

    Of course it's normal. Some see asking as a sign of caring; others see it as prying into personal life. Everyone around you apparently takes the latter approach.

    By the way, if you're 27, you are not doomed to a girlfriend-less existence forever -- assuming you would want to share your life with someone, that is. You say you see yourself as "someone who could have had a girlfriend" as if you're looking back on a ninety-year lifespan; you're still young. It's fine if you choose to live the single life, but that doesn't have to be the case if you choose otherwise.

    It's unusual that you haven't ventured to connect with someone, but it's not that unusual that others haven't asked about it. Good for them for respecting your privacy.

    Probably think your gay.
    My family asked if I was gay about two years ago, both my uncles, aunties, grandparents, even my cousins sat me on a table to ask, because i was 18 and never had a girlfriend.

    I was quite offended and told them the gruesome details i just used about 15 girls throughout my school on a regular basis for pure sexual fun and practice. And then whenever i said i was going to my friends for the night, i'd go to some girls house and bang her all night. I even had the pictures to prove it.

    That shut them up to say the least. Now they know not to ask any questions about my nightly activities.
