Whenever I say Happy B-Day to someone on FB, there's usually a flood of comments also wishing that person a happy birthday. On my birthday, only my mom said happy birthday on my wall :/
None of my close friends did the same. Not even a happy belated birthday a day or so later. Naturally, I felt depressed. IIN?

Same thing happened to me, then someone told me that I probably didn't have my birthday set as public information. As soon as I changed it so people could see, I got like 20 happy birthday's in the first 10 minutes :D
If that's not the case (though I have a suspicion it might be) then don't sweat it. It's just a silly website - and friends DO want you to have a happy birthday! People just rely on electronic things to tell them these dates and have gotten out of the habit of remembering.
Happy birthday. There you go. Kinda sad that someone you don't know, who just might be your cousin says it to you on is it normal. Well is that normal?
people may just be busy. i definitely don't check my fb regularly and miss saying happy birthday to lots of people.

Same thing with me, I always say happy birthday and almost none of them say it back. So I tell them to kiss my ass go around the corner and make a wish ;) Happy Birthday.
Not normal but... if you make yourself into a worm, you shouldn't complain when your trodden on.
What I mean is if you want them to take notice then do something. Send up a smoke signal, slap them in the face; let them know that this is important to you.
Why are you on this site if you think 'first-world problems' are unimportant? You do realize they constitute about 90% of the posts here...
Agreed, why are you even on here if you problems like this are not important? I can assure you, you're not going to find many stories and polls regarding "third world problems" on this site.
