Is it normal that negative ratings on my comments make me smile?

I'm not just talking about comments being zero or negative. But also those times when my comments turn into +2 or +4, I return to the thread later, and it has dropped down by a rating or two. I review what I had written, and then contextually the negative rating makes me smile?

It's not like I am backwards and positive ratings bother me. I react normally to positive ratings

Then why do negative ratings on my comments where I haven't said anything wrong in any way... make me smile? To be honest I EVEN FEEL GOOD. The hell? I can't explain this, maybe you can?

    Maybe it's because it shows that somebody read your comment. You will know your comment has been paid attention to regardless if voted up or down.

      Its not about wanting to get thumbdowned. What I post often deserves no thumbdown for any reason. The comment will be PC, considerate, agreeable and all that jazz. Im not even a troll. But then I still get thumbdowned. Logically I should be annoyed or mad but I smile.

      And my smile scares me
