Is it normal that my wife has given me a strange obsession
I think my wife has given me a strange obsession for changing into sandals or boat shoes without socks. Several years ago when we were first living together I wore tennis shoes and socks pretty much all the time, and never thought twice about it. My fiance said I'd feel more relaxed wearing sandals, but I shied away from it. At work, we had to wear a polo, khaki shorts and white tennis shoes. One evening when I got home from work my fiance told me to relax out on the back deck. She came out a couple of minutes later holding two beers in one hand and a new pair of Nike slide on sandals in the other. She set the beers down and tried to pick up one of my feet. I pulled away from her but she insisted that I just relax and go with it. She then lifted my foot, pulled off my white Kswiss tennis shoe, tossed it on the deck, and whipped off my sock and tossed it. She slipped the sandal onto my foot and set it down. The breeze felt good on my foot. She did the same with my other foot, then opened the beers and gave one to me. I did feel very relaxed but also kind of embarrassed that someone would see. Nobody had seen me wearing sandals before. I grilled out on the deck wondering if anyone could see me. She did the same thing the next night. The event became a common occurrence in the evenings, but something I started looking forward to. She also bought me a pair of boat shoes that she says look good on me sockless if we go out somewhere after work. They are also very comfortable. Now I think about changing in front of her (or her changing my shoes) all the time while I'm at work. I've never heard of this happening to someone, but I really enjoy it, even though I'm also a little embarrassed.
