Is it normal that my weight varies by 6kg within a week? o__o

So last week I weighed about 60kg, then I was really busy and didn't eat for a day and a half and after a few days (after that one day, I ate normally), my weight dropped down to 57kg. And then today, after eating a lot for one day...my weight went up to 63kg...O__o

I have been drinking a lot of milk and I ate two bags of popcorn over the week but still...

I've been using the same scale to measure myself the whole time. What the heck?! I know eating can really change one's weight but 6kg...in ONE WEEK?!

It depends on the alignment of the Sun and Jupiter. These two massive bodies have a gravitational effect that we can detect here on Earth. It can cause weight measurements to vary by up to 3% (5% when Saturn lines up too.) NASA take this effect into account when they launch to save money on rocket fuel.

It's normal for your weight to change that much in response to your erratic eating. However, your erratic eating is NOT normal. You might have an eating disorder, like bulimia or one of the many other kinds there are.

    Ok, theres plenty of reasons.

a: do you weigh yourself nude? Clothing can add/subtract quite a bit of weight.

b.: are you certain the scale measures exactly? Many have certain...tolerances and tend to jump a bit at certain weights.

c.: did you weigh yourself in the same state?
    Think about it this way:
If you just ate, about 0.2 kg meat, 0.3kg of noodles(after cooking), and 0.3kg of vegetables, and you were drinking 0.8 litres of water(about 2 glasses), and also have a full bladder(another 0.5 liters for us girls) thats easily 2 kilos difference just from food an drink.(i am not going to ask if you took a dump before, but you get the basic idea-)

Also, yeah, you probably lost a bit of weight, then gained a bit. But nowhere near those extremes. See above reasons...

lol thanks xD and yeah I think there is something wrong with the scale. I guess realistically I probably gained about 3 or 4 kg then.

After I let my food digest, I dropped one or two kg haha so what you said makes sense to me at this point

My weight stays the same regardless of food intake and exercise.

It depends on your: metabolism, appetite, the foods you eat and Exercise. Did you change your routines?
