Is it normal that my vinyl is playing out of tune.

I got a portable record player a few weeks ago (it's new) but I know it's not the best quality. And I also got a modern lp (Lonerism by Tame Impala if you're curious) . But some parts of the lp play out of tune, it's worse on one side than it is the other. When I played this same lp for the first time on a higher quality record player it sounded fine. And other lp's that I play on my record player sound fine too, although I haven't played them as much as I have this one lp in particular.
Like I said I just got both the record player and the lp a few weeks ago and they are both brand new and modern. So I'm not sure which one is causing the problem.
anyone know where the problem is?

Wish I could help but sadly I don't have a vinyl player, I plan to get one though I just like the idea and the aesthetic, hope you find a solution because it is a little addictive that album

Ah good :) nothing worse than being forced to go cold turkey with an album you're really into
